Claire Harrigan RSW
Claire Harrigan studied at Glasgow School of Art and is an established artist in the genre of 'Scottish Colourist'. Born in 1964 into a family of professional artists, her talent is well recognised.
Harrigan focusses primarily on expressing herself using colour, shape and texture and thus there are many abstract passages in each painting (although there is a clear subject also). She employs a variety of media and her work is original and exciting.
Harrigan has had many successful exhibitions (most recently a Solo Exhibition with Flying Colours Gallery) and in 2009 completed a book entitled ‘Abstract and Colour Techniques in Painting’.
Harrigan has won several awards including the Latimer Award (Royal Scottish Academy of Arts), the Glasgow Arts Club Fellowship Award and the James Torrance Award (Royal Glasgow Institute of the Fine Arts).
Works range from £1,000 - £5,000
