Emerson Mayes
Emerson Mayes was born in Harrogate in 1972. Shortly after graduating from Leeds Metropolitan University in 1994, he won ‘Young Artist of the Year Award’.
Mayes has a traditional approach to landscape painting. He uses a variety of media painting and drawing, capturing the ever changing seasons beautifully. Emerson has an genuine passion for and involvement with the landscape around him, whether it is of his native Yorkshire of the West coast of Scotland.
As an award winning artist, he has enjoyed a growing reputation as a successful painter exhibiting in many group and solo shows.
