Tim Pomeroy

Tim Pomeroy was born in Hamilton (Scotland) in 1957. He trained at Gray’s School of Art, Aberdeen, from 1976-81. His sculpture is very diverse in its subject and style, material and technique. As well as his bronze figurative work, other media such as slate, acrylic, granite and sandstone are also used. In recent work, he concentrates on two main themes, engineered objects and organic forms. His drawings and etchings are part of the overal process.
Pomeroy’s work features in many public, corporate and private collections including Strathclyde University, Leeds City Art Gallery, the EIS, Clydesdale District Council, Esme Fairbairn Foundation, The Duke of Devonshire and Gray’s School of Art.
Several public commissions have been completed, most notably for Provand’s Lordship (Glasgow) in 1995, Harbour Arts Centre (Irvine) in 2006 and the Beatson Cancer Care Institute in 2008.

Works range in price from £3,000 - £8,000
