Anthony Scullion RGI
Anthony Scullion was born in 1967 in East Kilbride in Scotland. He studied at the Glasgow School of Art, graduating in 1992, and has been exhibiting with Flying Colours Gallery since 1999.
The art of Anthony Scullion concentrates on the face and figure, combining the traditional with the contemporary in an individual and powerful way. It has been written of him; “without plagiarism, Scullion resonates at once the chiaroscuro of Rembrandt, the spirituality of Giacometti, and the distortion of Bacon” and that “he invests these bodies with forms and colours that further the tradition of the masters in art”.
In 2007 Anthony Scullion was appointed a member of the Royal Glasgow Institute of the Fine Arts (RGI). Flying Colours Gallery are looking forward to Anthony Scullions fifth Solo Exhibition with the gallery in the autumn of 2010.
Works range in price from £1,000 - £10,000
